Our Admissions Process

Although many of our children enroll for the following fall, Mountainside Montessori admits children on a rolling basis as space becomes available. We admit children of all racial, ethnic, and religious backgrounds.  Our admissions process is designed to give you the chance to learn more about our school and our Montessori philosophy.

  • 1. Schedule a Parent Tour

    By spending some time speaking with one of our administration staff, you will get an idea of how a typical day unfolds for the children who attend Mountainside. There is also ample opportunity to see the campus and indoor/outdoor classroom environments. At this time, you may ask any questions you have about Montessori in general, the Mountainside community in particular, and those specific to your child’s needs. Please contact the school to schedule your Parent Tour by emailing to: office@mountainsidemontessori.com. Please allow 24 hours for handling of your request.

  • 2. Submit an Application

    Please complete and submit an application as soon as possible with a $135 application fee so that you and your child can move to the next step in the application process.

  • 3. Child Visit for Students 4 years and older

    After your application and fee have been received, we will invite you and your 4 year old (or older) child to spend some time with us in the classroom environment.

  • 4. Acceptance and Welcome

    Subsequent to receipt and review of your application and consideration of available spaces, we will notify your family of acceptance. Now you and your child are ready to begin a wonderful new part of your lives.  The Mountainside Montessori years are full of growth, learning, self-direction, and community that will form a wonderful foundation for your child and your family.
